HealthSync — Terms of Service

HealthSync is a personal tool, offered as-is and free of charge. It copies your Apple Health data to a destination you choose. By installing or using it, you agree to what follows.
What HealthSync is
HealthSync is an iOS app that reads your Apple Health data on your device and writes a daily file to a location you select — a folder on your phone, iCloud Drive, a network share, or your Google Drive. It is a copying tool. It does not analyse, score, diagnose or interpret anything.
There is no account, no subscription and no charge. There is also no service behind it: no servers are operated, so there is nothing to go down, and nothing that holds your data.
Not a medical device
HealthSync is not a medical device and provides no medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It does not monitor your health, will not alert you to anything, and must not be relied on for any medical or safety purpose.
The data it exports comes from Apple Health and the apps and devices that wrote to it. Its accuracy is theirs, not ours. Do not make a medical decision based on these files. Talk to a qualified professional.
Your data and your destinations
The files HealthSync writes are yours. Choosing where they go is yours too, and so is the responsibility for that choice.
- These files contain your health data in detail. Anyone who can reach the destination can read them.
- You are responsible for the security of that destination — the account, the device, the network share, and who else has access.
- Once a file is written, it is governed by the terms and privacy policy of wherever it now lives, not by these terms.
- HealthSync does not back your data up. If you delete a destination file, it is gone unless you re-export that day.
If you connect Google Drive
Connecting a Google account is optional. If you do, your use of Google Drive remains subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your Google account, its security, and its storage limits.
The app requests only the ability to manage files it creates. You can revoke that access at any time from your Google account settings or from inside the app. Revoking it stops uploads; it does not delete files already in your Drive.
No warranty
HealthSync is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
It is not guaranteed to run at any particular time, to export any particular data, or to run at all. iOS decides when background work happens, Apple Health decides what data an app may read, and network destinations fail for reasons outside the app. Exports can be delayed, incomplete or missing. Do not treat HealthSync as your only copy of anything.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of HealthSync — including lost, incomplete, corrupted or delayed data, exposure of exported files, or any decision made on the basis of exported data.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions of warranty or liability, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you.
Acceptable use
Export your own health data, or data you are entitled to export. Do not use HealthSync to access anyone else's health data without their informed consent, and do not use it in any way that breaks the law where you are.
Changes and availability
These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it.
HealthSync may be modified or discontinued at any time, without notice. Your exported files are unaffected — they are plain JSON in a place you control, and they remain readable without the app.
